BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said on Thursday that the party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has urged party members to remain patient and focus on preparing for the next election.
“The acting chairman has asked everyone to exercise patience. A significant victory has been achieved by the people. To make this victory meaningful, we must all work with patience and dedication. The election is the first step in democracy, and we need to be fully prepared for it,” Fakhrul told reporters.
He made the remarks today at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport upon his return to Dhaka after a one-and-a-half-week visit to London. Fakhrul arrived at the airport at 12:45 PM.
He told reporters, “During my visit to London, I met with the acting chairman, spoke with expatriate Bangladeshis and BNP leaders… attended their meetings.”
