Chuadanga: Two minor boys drowned in a water body in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district on Tuesday noon.
Sihab, 7, son of Tariqul Islam and Hussain, 8, son of Habir, were residents of Iswarchandra village un-der Darshana municipality of the upazila.
Sihab was a madrasah student while Hussain a school student.
Locals said the boys went to the water body to take bath at noon and when they jumped into the water body their legs got stuck in the mud, they said.
Other boys found them in the water body when they went there for raking bath, they said.
After rescuing them from the water body, they were rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared them dead upon arrival, said Ferdous Wahid, officer-in-charge of Darshana police station.
