Both the bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday.
The benchmark index of the DSE went up by 40.47 points, while the Selective Category Index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) rose 51.58 points.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), advanced 40.47 points or 0.66 percent to stand at 6,173.70 at 11:47 am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained 8.84 points or 0.65 percent to stand at 1,350.37 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips also advanced 17.63 points or 0.80 percent to stand at 2,199.31 points.
Trade deals stood at 43,378 with transaction at over Tk 2,988.36 million on the DSE.
Of the issues traded till then, 197 advanced, 66 declined and 44 issues remained unchanged.
aamra network limited dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 317.02 million changing hands till then.
The port city bourse also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - advancing 51.58 points to stand at 11,566.23 points, also at 11:44 am.
Of the issues traded till then, 97 gained, 34 declined and 20 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 215 million.
